The Procurement Assistant will be responsible for assisting the procurement team in sourcing, purchasing, and managing the bank’s supplies, equipment, and services. The primary objective of this role is to support efficient and cost-effective procurement processes while ensuring compliance with the bank’s policies and procedures.
Assist in identifying procurement needs and requirements of various departments within the bank.
Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities, pricing, and quality of goods or services.
Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to procurement policies.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods or services and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and contracts.
Monitor and track procurement budgets and expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities where possible.
Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile invoices and ensure timely payment to suppliers.
Assist in maintaining an updated inventory of bank assets, including tracking and disposal of obsolete or surplus items.
Support the procurement team in preparing reports and presentations for management review.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
Previous experience in procurement or supply chain management is preferred.
Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Proficient in using computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite.
Attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
