The COVID-19 pandemic has deeply impacted lives and livelihoods both in Myanmar and across the world. Once this pandemic started in March 2020, uab bank activated its Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and formed a Crisis Control Unit (CCU). The CCU continues to monitor and evaluate the situation very closely and ensures that the health and safety issues at the Bank is being taken care of especially with this 2nd wave of pandemic in late-August 2020.

The Bank is committed to provide essential services to the public. Our services continue to be provided albeit with employees on work from home rotations to reduce risk and contact during this 2nd wave.

At uab bank branches, the necessary precautionary measures are being conducted, and these include:

    • Face masks, gloves and hand sanitizers
    • It is mandatory for the employees and customers to wear a mask all the time
    • Maintain social distancing
    • Register and record visitors name, contact, address
