Trade Client Service – Trade Finance Department

Trade Client Services forms part of middle office by communicating with trade customers and ensuring that service to customers is at the quality expected. They ensure that customers fully utilise their approved credit lines and use the Bank as their key trade partner. They are also expected to acquire new customers for international fund transfers, import and export services.

Trade Client Service : Trade Finance Department

Positions: Managers/ Asst Managers

Key Responsibility 

  • Performs for communicating with customers, following up on maturity and other trade business matters, farming the existing customers to cross sell, up sell, etc. by liaising with Trade Operation Team for all of the customer transaction reports and building strong relationship with other departments.
  • Handles Interacting and following up with branches for trade related matters, operating and maintaining trade service centers.
  • Ensures clients are matched to the appropriate trade finance product/solution in order to maximize revenues and ensure that customers are satisfied with the services in order to retain customers and increase share of wallet.
  • Solicits Trade Finance growth by building up good support and strong relationship with customer.
  • Liaises with and advises customers for all trade related transactions by conducting presentations, pitching solutions, drafting term sheets, preparing properly document deals and delivering end-to­ end product journey to drive trade utilization.
  • Executes operational issues together with Trade Operation Team and Trade Sale Team.
  • Assesses new opportunities and develops growth strategies to ensure trade finance products and solutions meet the needs of existing and prospective clients in order to improve the bank’s market share.
  • Reviews the products and pricing of the products periodically to ensure alignment with industry practices and drive the achievement of income targets
  • Ensures continuous product improvement through the sourcing of on-going client feedback and identifies future client needs in order to improve competitive status and value proposition.
  • Reviews, evaluates and manages risks to ensure adherence to the bank’s risk framework, internal policies, trade regulatory, ICC rules, CBM instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Supports Sale Team in promoting Trade Finance and participate in the products knowledge training.
  • Deals for day to day customer complaints and any other ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time by the senior in Trade Finance.

Qualifications

  • Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in business management or equivalent.
  • Must have Business level English
  • Excellent problem solving and influencing skills.
  • Able to communicate with all level.
  • Must have innovative and creative thinking
  • Must have strong banking knowledge
  • Must have understanding of industry standards e.g. relevant ICC rules and SWIFT
  • Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point
  • Strong teamwork capabilities
  • Responsive with a sense of urgency
  • Independent and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in financial institutions and in the area of Trade business development
